Editorial independence
Editorial judgments are made for readers, not publishers, advertisers, platform holders, or sponsors. A commercial relationship does not guarantee coverage, a favorable score, or editorial control.
If Neural Critic introduces sponsored content or paid partnerships, they will be labeled clearly so readers can distinguish them from independent editorial.
Reviews and scores
Review scores summarize the reviewer’s overall judgment; they are not mathematical averages. Reviews should explain the experience behind the number, including strengths, weaknesses, technical context, and who the game is likely to suit.
- Platform tested is disclosed when relevant.
- Review copy, press access, or a personally purchased copy should be disclosed when relevant.
- No payment is accepted in exchange for a favorable review or score.
Sources, rumors, and attribution
News and factual claims should favor primary sources whenever practical, including official announcements, first-party documentation, direct statements, patch notes, filings, and developer communications.
Rumors, leaks, and unconfirmed claims should be identified as such rather than presented as established fact.
Corrections and updates
Material factual errors should be corrected as soon as reasonably possible. Significant updates should preserve the original context instead of quietly changing the meaning of an article.

AI-assisted workflows
Neural Critic may use AI-assisted tools for parts of the production workflow, including organization, formatting, engineering, research support, or editorial tooling. AI output is not treated as an authority by itself.
Final responsibility for published claims, opinions, corrections, and editorial decisions remains with the human editor.
Commercial links and disclosure
If affiliate links, review codes, sponsorships, or other material commercial relationships are introduced, Neural Critic will disclose them where they could reasonably matter to a reader’s understanding of the coverage.
Commercial arrangements should not change the substance of an independent review or editorial conclusion.
